We’ve made biscuit pizzas a few times recently. Making them is as much fun for the kids as eating them. You start with refrigerated biscuit dough. Each child gets one or two biscuits and they proceed to flatten them and shape them into pizza crusts. My kids really got into this part – banging, shaping, and even tossing them into the air.
When they were satisfied with their crusts, it was time for sauce and cheese. They had just as much fun with this part -
You could add lots of topping possibilities at this point – we just made cheese pizzas. We transferred the pizzas to cookie sheets sprinkled with corn meal and baked them at 350-400 degrees (I don’t remember the exact setting – whatever your biscuit packaging tells you to set it at).
We kept an eye on them and took them out when the crusts were golden and the cheese was melted.
Michael’s “Monster” pizza!
Anna and David made faces on their pizzas with blackberries -
Sarah made these cheesy biscuit bites with some of the leftover biscuit dough – really yummy!
Try it with your kids for an easy and fun meal or snack!
