NATURE BLOG
November 20, 2009 - I saw robins yesterday for the first time since they came through heading north in the spring. I suppose that they are now heading south for the winter and stopped off at a familiar place.

Most of the trees are looking quite bare now. The Crepe Myrtles are turning with their beautiful fall colors - they are usually the last trees to turn and lose their leaves here.

October 6, 2009 - Storms are rumbling overhead as another cold front moves through. We had highs in the 60's over the weekend, which was so nice!

We missed the Harvest Moon, with all of our clouds and rain - that was disappointing, but I suppose there is always next year.

September 22, 2009 - Fall blew in today with a cold front that has dropped temperatures into the 60's! It is breezy and gray with cloud cover.

The trees are starting to wear a yellowish tone. Horseapples are falling and dotting the yard with bright green.

A mushroom garden popped up in our mulch following all of the rain last week. (I'll be posting pictures of them.)

Hi –
