Oven Barbecued Chicken

I got this recipe a while back from Cindy’s blog An Army for the Lord. Since then, I have made it several times. We always enjoy it and it is really very easy to make – thought you might enjoy it, too!

Oven Barbecue Chicken

8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
salt and pepper
thick barbecue sauce (K.C. Masterpiece is good)
cheddar cheese – shredded
bacon – cooked and crumbled (I used the Hormel real bacon pieces, found on the salad dressing aisle –
super easy!)

Wash chicken and lay in a large baking dish.

Sprinkle generously with salt and pepper.

Drizzle thick barbecue sauce over all.

Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Turn pieces over and repeat salt, pepper and sauce.

Bake another 25 minutes.

Transfer to serving platter, cut in halves.

Sprinkle cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon over hot chicken.

Thank you, Cindy, for posting this wondeful recipe! It is fast becoming a family favorite at our house! Maybe soon I’ll post her recipe for Cashew Chicken – fabulous, and one of Jeff’s favorite dishes.

Don’t forget! – Today is the last day to enter my Autumn Back-To-School Giveaway!! I will be closing the contest at midnite tonight and posting the winner tomorrow.  Click here to enter!

  2. This looks SO yummy! It’s going on the menu for this week for sure. I’m going to cut up some potatoes to go with it – my stomach is growling just thinking of it!
