The Simple Woman’s Daybook ~ June 7

Here is my Daybook entry for today ~

Outside my window. . .sunny and hot – summertime weather. Lots of color from the flowering trees and the potted plants on the porch. The barn swallows are fixing up the nest for a second round of eggs.
I am thinking. . .that I really could use 48 hours in a day!
From the learning room. . .summer fun!
I am thankful for. . .air conditioning – it’s really starting to heat up around here.
From the kitchen. . .no need to cook tonight – we will be celebrating our oldest son’s 25th birthday with dinner out.
I am wearing. . .white shirt and denim capris.
I am creating. . .more peace of mind by decluttering my home.
I am going. . .to go next-door to meet the new neighbors that moved in yesterday.
I am reading. . .the book of Matthew in my Bible.
I am hoping. . .for a little rain for my garden in the near future.
I am hearing. . .Blues Clues dvd, Sarah talking to me, fan running.
Around the house. . .lots of cleaning out projects waiting for me to find the time.
One of my favorite things. . .putting pretty stickers in my calendar each week.
A few plans for the rest of the week. . .library with the kids, ice skating, voice lesson (Laura), sewing, cleaning out, and maybe bowling next weekend.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing. . .

Freshly baked bread right out of the oven.
Thanks to Peggy at The Simple Woman’s Daybook for this wonderful meme. Visit Peggy starting Tuesday to find the list of participants in this week’s Daybook.

Have a lovely day!
