The Simple Woman’s Daybook ~ September 7

Here is my Daybook entry for today ~

Outside my window. . .rain clouds have moved in after our beautiful weather yesterday. It is supposed to rain for several days.
I am thinking. . .about school.
From the learning room. . .school starts tomorrow with daily lessons in reading, writing, math, and various alternating units of study. We will be putting together timeline books to use throughout the year, as well as nature journals this week.
I am thankful for. . .the changing seasons and the fresh start of another school year.
From the kitchen. . .Tacos and Tortillas for dinner tonight.
I am wearing. . .red polo and denim capris.
I am creating. . .final lesson plans for the start of school.
I am going. . .to get off the computer and get started on this day!
I am reading. . .just school books this week – lots of those!
I am hoping. . .that we will settle into the new school year and daily schedule smoothly.
I am hearing. . .David talking about the Labor Day Cup yesterday, Sarah fixing her breakfast, someone coming down the stairs.
Around the house. . .Still some disarray from our moving people around project – mostly just toys that need to be taken upstairs and organized; lots of cups and glasses on the counter to wash; American Girl bags, boxes, and dolls around the house after our girl trip to the AG store the other day.
One of my favorite things. . .a rainy Fall day to stay inside and work on projects.
A few plans for the rest of the week. . .starting school, ice skating, library, cleaning, and hopefully, a little sewing time, as well.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing. . .

A few last minute books arrived in the mail last week just in time.

Thanks to Peggy at The Simple Woman’s Daybook for this wonderful meme. Visit Peggy to find the September list of participants in The Simple Woman’s Daybook.
